Secrets of the Tea Master
Three lessons on the tea hills: a gentle team bonding game for retreats, played on your team's phones.

About
High on the misty tea hills, a hundred-year-old Tea Master pours a cup of tea and makes an offer: he keeps the Secret of a Happy Team, and he will pass it on to the team that learns three virtues, Patience, Thoughtfulness and Unity.
The journey runs on GoQuest, TeamTika’s team game app, with each team on a phone or tablet. Three lessons lead the way: the Patience Tea Hills, the Thoughtful Pottery Village and the Unity Cloud Peak. The 12 tasks are calmer than most adventures: balancing on one leg together, forming a teapot, saying thank you to a named teammate and climbing to the cloud peak as one.
There is still a leaderboard, but the heart of the game is the final task, where each team writes its own secret for staying happy together.
It was written for team bonding retreats in the highlands and works anywhere a team wants a slower, warmer session.
Learning outcomes
Waiting for tea to cool to the right temperature and balancing as a group are small exercises in patience, a skill most busy teams rarely practise together.
The thoughtfulness lesson asks teams to recognise considerate behaviour and to thank a specific colleague by name, which builds trust quickly.
Unity Cloud Peak rewards teams that wait for the slowest climber, a gentle reminder that nobody reaches the top alone.
Writing the team's own secret at the end gives a simple statement the group can keep and return to.

Frequently asked questions
How many people can take part?
We run up to 30 teams per event, each playing on its own phone or tablet. Players join in the phone browser with a game code, so there is nothing to install. Tell us your headcount and we will suggest team sizes.
How long does the program take?
About 90 minutes of play, plus a short briefing at the start and the leaderboard reveal at the end.
Is this competitive?
Gently. Points and a leaderboard keep it lively, but the tasks focus on patience, appreciation and unity, so it suits bonding retreats more than high-energy races.
Can this be run indoors or outdoors?
Both. The tasks only need the app and things found nearby, so it works in a meeting room, a hotel ballroom, a resort or a garden.
Is the game available in Vietnamese?
Yes. Secrets of the Tea Master has full English and Vietnamese versions, and we set the language for each event.
