About
The ship Dawn has run aground on a strange island and the captain is missing, leaving only his logbook behind. Before the tide comes in, your teams must find fresh water, build a signal and call a rescue ship.
The adventure runs on GoQuest, TeamTika’s team game app, with each team on a phone or tablet. Three chapters take teams from Shipwreck Beach through the Tropical Jungle to the Lighthouse, with 12 tasks along the way: sharing out water, tracking the captain’s footprints, reading a message carved backwards on a coconut and pointing the lighthouse lamp the right way.
Photo, video and audio tasks keep it lively, from a giant SOS made of bodies on the sand to a sea song that calls the ship in. The leaderboard runs live on the big screen.
At 90 minutes, it fits neatly into a beach afternoon or a resort programme.
Learning outcomes
Sharing limited water and tracking footprints are simple problems with a clear right answer, and they reward teams that slow down and check each other's maths before answering once.
Crossing the swamp in single file, hands on shoulders, shows how a team moves only as fast as its most careful step.
Forming an SOS in the sand needs someone to direct and everyone to follow, a quick lesson in leading and being led.
Teams finish with a shared survival story and a reminder that calm cooperation beats panic.
Program flow

1. Shipwreck Beach
Teams read the captain's logbook, share out the water rations and form a giant SOS on the sand.

Teams find fresh water, track the captain's footprints, cross the swamp in single file and decode the coconut message.

Teams point the lamp toward the rescue ship, time its flashes and sing a sea song to call the ship in.

Teams wave to the rescue ship for a final photo and gather for the leaderboard reveal.

Frequently asked questions
How many people can take part?
We run up to 30 teams per event, each playing on its own phone or tablet. Players join in the phone browser with a game code, so there is nothing to install. Tell us your headcount and we will suggest team sizes.
How long does the program take?
About 90 minutes of play, plus a short briefing at the start and the leaderboard reveal at the end.
Do we need a beach to play?
No. The story is set on a beach, and it is perfect for resorts, but every task works with the app and things nearby, wherever you are.
Can this be run indoors or outdoors?
Both. The tasks only need the app and things found nearby, so it works in a meeting room, a hotel ballroom, a resort or a garden.
Is the game available in Vietnamese?
Yes. Castaway Island has full English and Vietnamese versions, and we set the language for each event.
