About

It is the night of December 23 at the North Pole, and Santa’s workshop is behind schedule. Each party table is a team of elves sent to help.

The rush runs on GoQuest, TeamTika’s team game app, with each table sharing a phone or tablet. Five stations make up the night: the Toy Workshop, the Reindeer Stable, the Gingerbread Kitchen, the Wrapping Room and the Christmas Eve Flight. There are 15 multiple-choice questions and 5 quick-maths questions, plus 5 activities: an elf workshop pose, sleigh bells, a cookie assembly line, the best-wrapped gift and the sleigh lift-off.

The leaderboard runs live on the big screen, so every table can see which elves are keeping Santa on schedule.

With its production line theme, it is a cheerful nod to teamwork at the busiest time of year.

Learning outcomes

Every question can be answered only once, and a wrong answer shows the right one straight away. Tables quickly learn to pool what everyone knows and agree before they tap, a small, fun lesson in deciding together.

Multiple-choice questions come in easy, medium and hard, and the number questions ask for quick mental maths, so tables share the thinking between the quiz fans and the number people.

The five table activities, photos, songs and short videos, get the whole table laughing between courses and give quieter guests an easy way in.

Guests leave knowing more about Christmas legends and traditions, with a shared story from the evening.

Yes. It was written for Christmas and year-end parties, and the workshop theme makes a light link to teamwork during a busy season.
