The Kitchen Gods’ Report
Ride the carp to heaven and report your year: a Tet quiz and comedy game for the party table.

About
On the 23rd day of the last lunar month, the Kitchen Gods ride their carp up to the Heavenly Court to report the year to the Jade Emperor. At your party, each table is a Kitchen God.
The report runs on GoQuest, TeamTika’s team game app, with each table sharing a phone or tablet. Five rounds make up the session: Seeing Off the Kitchen Gods, the Economy God, the Culture God, the Office God and the Jade Emperor’s Review. There are 20 multiple-choice questions on Tet customs, Vietnamese banknotes, folk painting and year-end office life, plus 5 table activities: acting out the report, a growth chart made of glasses, a spring song, each guest’s proudest moment and a grand Heavenly Court photo.
Scores are shown live on the big screen as the Jade Emperor weighs up the year.
Inspired by a much-loved Vietnamese year-end tradition, it is a natural centrepiece for a tat nien party.
Learning outcomes
Every question can be answered only once, and a wrong answer shows the right one straight away. Tables quickly learn to pool what everyone knows and agree before they tap, which is a small, fun lesson in deciding together.
Questions come in easy, medium and hard, worth 40, 60 and 80 points, so tables also have to judge when to trust a quick guess and when to talk it through.
The five table activities, photos, songs and short videos, get the whole table laughing together between courses and give quieter guests an easy way in.
Guests leave knowing more about Tet customs, folk art and Vietnamese office traditions, with a shared story from the evening.

Frequently asked questions
How many people can take part?
Each party table plays as one team on a shared phone or tablet, with up to 30 tables per event. Players join in the phone browser with a game code, so there is nothing to install.
How long does the program take?
About an hour of play, plus a short briefing at the start and the leaderboard reveal at the end.
Is this a good fit for the year-end party?
It was written for it. The Office God round and the proudest-moment activity turn the game into a light, positive review of the company's year.
Do guests need to leave their tables?
No. Every question and activity is played right at the party table, so the game fits neatly between dinner courses and stage performances.
Is the game available in Vietnamese?
Yes. The Kitchen Gods' Report has full English and Vietnamese versions, and we set the language for each event.
