Silver Creek Gold Rush
Half a map, a lost mine and a showdown at high noon: a Wild West race on your team's phones.

About
Texas, 1870. Old Joe, the oldest miner in Silver Creek, has left your teams half a map to the Lone Star gold mine. The other half belongs to the Rattlesnake Gang, and they want the gold too.
The race runs on GoQuest, TeamTika’s team game app, with each team on a phone or tablet. Five chapters take teams from Silver Creek Town through Red Rock Canyon and the Lone Star Mine to the San Antonio train and a final stand on Main Street. Along the way are 25 tasks: saloon bills, echo maths and gold panning, plus wanted-poster photos, a gallop through the canyon and a chase on the roof of a moving train.
The leaderboard runs live on the big screen. At high noon, teams deposit their gold, face down the gang and swear in as honorary sheriffs.
It is loud, playful and competitive, the kind of game that gets every table talking afterwards.
Learning outcomes
From the saloon bill to the bank deposit, the game is a chain of small money and time calculations. Teams that check each other's numbers move faster than teams that guess, especially as every answer goes in only once.
Real gold or fool's gold? Several tasks reward teams for questioning what looks shiny, a light lesson in testing assumptions before acting.
Galloping, shouting and acting out the train chase pull everyone in, including people who would never volunteer in a meeting.
The sheriff's oath at the end gives each team a moment to name what they stand for together.

Frequently asked questions
How many people can take part?
We run up to 30 teams per event, each playing on its own phone or tablet. Players join in the phone browser with a game code, so there is nothing to install. Tell us your headcount and we will suggest team sizes.
How long does the program take?
About two hours of play, plus a short briefing at the start and the leaderboard reveal at the end.
Is this related to other gold rush programs?
Silver Creek Gold Rush is a GoQuest app game with its own story and tasks. It is played on phones, separate from our facilitated Gold Rush business game.
Can this be run indoors or outdoors?
Both. The tasks only need the app and things found nearby, so it works in a meeting room, a hotel ballroom, a resort or a garden.
Is the game available in Vietnamese?
Yes. Silver Creek Gold Rush has full English and Vietnamese versions, and we set the language for each event.
