About

In 1715 the Jade Sea Queen went down in a storm, carrying chests of pearls and gold coins. Three centuries later, sonar has found her, and your teams are the divers of Seagull Salvage. The salvage permit lasts 48 hours, and the rival Black Shark crew left port this morning.

The adventure runs on GoQuest, our team game app. Each team plays on a phone or tablet and works through five zones in turn: Seagull Harbor, the Salvage Ship, the Coral Reef, the Shipwreck and the Treasure Hold. Twenty-five tasks mix quick quizzes, number puzzles and code-breaking with photo, video and audio challenges that get everyone moving and laughing.

Points go straight to a live leaderboard on the big screen, so the race stays close to the end. In the final hold, teams count the treasure, work out how to lift it to the surface and decide which museum should put it on display.

Behind the story sits a simple exercise in splitting the work, thinking fast and keeping every person involved.

Learning outcomes

Five zones and 25 tasks are too much for one person, so teams quickly learn to share the load: one solves the sums, another decodes the captain's log, a third directs the team photo. It is delegation in its simplest, most visible form.

Sonar depth, air supply and lifting balloons are small problems with a clear answer and a clock running. They reward calm logic under time pressure, and because each answer can be sent only once, teams learn to check before they commit.

The photo, video and audio tasks need the whole team in front of the camera. Quieter colleagues get pulled in, and people from different departments find an easy reason to laugh together.

Participants go back to work with a shared story and a practical reminder: clear roles, quick checks and everyone pulling the same rope get the treasure up first.

Program flow

  1. 1. Seagull Harbor

Teams open the confidential ship file, pack their dive gear and set sail before the Black Shark crew can reach the wreck.

  2. 2. The Salvage Ship

Teams read the sonar, calculate pressure and air supply, crack the radio password and film a buddy safety check.

  3. 3. The Coral Reef

Teams cross the reef without harming sea life, build their own reef from everyday objects and record a whale song.

  4. 4. The Shipwreck

Teams date the ship's bell, decode the captain's log and shoot a slow-motion swim through the sunken hull.

  5. 5. The Treasure Hold

Teams count the treasure, work out the lifting balloons, celebrate on deck and watch the final leaderboard reveal.

Frequently asked questions

How many people can take part?

We run up to 30 teams per event, each playing on its own phone or tablet. Tell us your headcount and we will suggest team sizes.

How long does the program take?

About two hours of play, plus a short briefing at the start and the leaderboard reveal at the end.

Do players need to install an app?

No. Teams join GoQuest in their phone browser with a game code, so there is nothing to download.

Can this be run indoors or outdoors?

Both. Every task uses the app and things found nearby, so it works in a meeting room, a hotel ballroom, a resort or a garden.

Is the game available in Vietnamese?

Yes. Raising the Jade Sea Queen has full English and Vietnamese versions, and we set the language for each event.
